About the Project
DB Akademie is the internal training and education division of Deutsche Bahn, Germany’s national railway operator. The “Smart Snacks” format was designed to deliver concise, visually engaging video content for employees — covering topics relevant to professional development in short, digestible segments. The agency Fischer Appelt commissioned Jakobs Medien to handle the full studio production, taking advantage of our Urban Studio’s flexible setup and experienced crew.
What Made This Production Stand Out
Rather than relying on green screens or generic backdrops, the production used the Urban Studio’s real, designed set environments to give each video a distinct visual identity. Over two intensive shooting days, our team recorded multiple episodes, managing quick turnarounds between setups to maximize output. An on-site editing suite allowed for immediate review of takes, ensuring that the client and agency could approve content on the spot and minimizing the need for costly reshoots.
