Hybrid Live Program – Green Week 2023

After a two-year forced hiatus, the Federal Ministry of Food and Agriculture (BMEL) under new Minister Cem Ozdemir celebrated a trade fair comeback at International Green Week 2023. With 9 days of hybrid live programming in Hall 23a, featuring a custom event design, evening events, interactive visitor features, and live technical support, it was the perfect opportunity for us to deploy our entire service portfolio in a single project.

Nine Days of Non-Stop Production

International Green Week is one of the world’s largest consumer fairs for food, agriculture, and horticulture. For the BMEL’s return after a two-year pandemic-related absence, nothing less than a flawless relaunch was acceptable. Jakobs Medien took on the role of full-service production partner, responsible for the complete technical and creative execution of the ministry’s program in Hall 23a. This meant nine consecutive days of live programming — from morning panel discussions and ministerial appearances to evening networking events and interactive installations for the general public.

What We Delivered

Our scope covered event design, stage construction, lighting, sound, video technology, livestreaming, and on-site technical direction. We designed the hall’s layout to accommodate multiple formats: a main stage for keynotes and discussions, breakout areas for workshops, and interactive stations where visitors could engage with agricultural topics hands-on. The hybrid component ensured that every main-stage session was streamed live, expanding the audience far beyond the fairgrounds. Our team was on-site from the first day of setup through the final teardown, providing uninterrupted support throughout.

A Successful Comeback

The BMEL’s presence at Green Week 2023 was widely praised for its professionalism and visitor engagement. The combination of a compelling stage program, immersive event design, and reliable hybrid streaming made the hall one of the most visited destinations at the fair. For Jakobs Medien, the project showcased the full breadth of our capabilities — concept, design, technology, and execution — all delivered under a single roof.
