Two stories, two perspectives, two promotional films, and a thousand good reasons to make Lubbenau your new home. For Spreewelten GmbH, we conceived and produced cinematic love letters to the small town in the Spreewald region. The films were designed to work as a multichannel campaign across all of our client’s distribution channels, conveying a comprehensive picture of living, working, and vacationing in Lubbenau.

The Brief: Attract People to a Hidden Gem

Lubbenau, nestled in the heart of the Spreewald region southeast of Berlin, is a town with enormous charm but limited national visibility. Spreewelten GmbH, responsible for the town’s tourism and location marketing, wanted promotional films that would go beyond the usual postcard imagery and genuinely inspire people to consider Lubbenau as a place to live and work. Jakobs Medien developed a concept centered on authentic storytelling — following real residents whose lives illustrate why the town is worth a closer look.

Our Creative and Production Approach

We produced two distinct films, each told from a different perspective. One focused on the experience of arriving in Lubbenau and discovering its natural beauty, cultural life, and welcoming community. The other highlighted the professional opportunities and quality of life that make the town attractive for young families and career starters. Our production team spent several days on location, capturing the Spreewald landscape in cinematic quality and filming candid moments with local protagonists. In post-production, we refined the visual storytelling with careful editing, color grading, and a musical score that matched the warmth of the subject matter.

Lasting Impact

The finished films were deployed across the client’s website, social media channels, and recruitment campaigns. They gave Lubbenau a contemporary, emotionally engaging media presence that set the town apart from competing locations. The project demonstrated that even smaller municipalities can benefit from professional film production when the content is rooted in genuine stories and crafted with cinematic care.
