Comprehensive media technology and interactive installations for the booth of the Federal Ministry for the Environment, Climate Protection, Nature Conservation, and Nuclear Safety at Green Week 2026
For Green Week 2026, we delivered the complete media technology setup for the Federal Ministry’s exhibition booth. Our scope of services encompassed cutting-edge LED technology, innovative interactive installations, professional audio and video technology, and custom software development. The project combines hand-gesture control, live broadcasting, and touch applications into a holistic visitor experience.
Media Technology Services
LED Wall & Broadcasting Technology
The centerpiece of the media technology installation was a high-resolution LED wall with 1.5mm pixel pitch measuring 3.66m x 2.06m (2304px x 1296px). The LED wall was realized as a suspended construction, including structural planning and technical drawings for the rigging. For live broadcasting of the stage program, a NewTek Tricaster TC2 Elite broadcasting system was deployed, complemented by professional Panasonic PTZ cameras. The video switching enabled simultaneous output to the LED wall and an additional monitor in the back office area.
Hand-Gesture Quiz with Motion Control
As an innovative highlight, we developed an interactive quiz system controlled by hand gestures. The technical implementation was based on an AIO gaming system with HTC SteamVR Base Stations 2.0 and HTC Vive Controllers. The controller functioned as a cursor, enabling intuitive control without physical contact. The system was pre-assembled, calibrated, and tested in our studio. A specialized media server operator was available throughout the entire exhibition for technical operations.
Touchscreen Applications & Software Development
For the various exhibit tables, we developed custom touch applications. At the materials lab table, we integrated a touchscreen with a programmed wheel-of-fortune feature. The software was individually adapted to the corporate identity. All developed applications were equipped with the required hardware components and usage licenses. In the apprentice area, a touchscreen with a digital quiz was deployed.
Audio Installation with Motion Sensor Trigger
For the AI station on the topic of nature and climate protection, we created a special audio experience: three sound boxes with integrated motion sensors were programmed to automatically play authentic bird calls when visitors approach. The programming included a random play system with volume adjustment and a database of various bird calls. The installation was controlled via an iPhone 13 Pro, integrated into the exhibit table with a mount and anti-theft protection.
Sound System & Microphones
For the booth’s sound reinforcement, we installed an L-Acoustics PA system with X8 and X12 speakers in the rig along with stage monitors. Audio production was managed via an Allen & Heath SQ5 digital mixing console. For microphones, four Shure ULXD4 dual receivers were deployed, equipped with six DPA headsets and eight handheld transmitters for the stage, workshop, and school program areas. The wireless microphones operated in the H51 frequency range, ensuring interference-free reception throughout the entire exhibition.
iPad Stations & Mobile Devices
At various stations throughout the booth, we installed a total of 27 iPads for different purposes: four iPad Pro M4 units with TabLines protective housings for the AI station, ten iPads with bumper cases for the workshop and school program area, two iPads for funding consultation, and one iPad for the apprentice area. All devices were equipped with anti-theft locks, appropriate adapters, and professional cabling.
Workshop & School Program Technology
For the extensive educational program, we provided 40 silent conference headphones, enabling school groups to follow presentations without mutual disturbance. The setup was complemented by a NEC MultiSync M551 55” UHD monitor, a Lenovo ThinkPad E15 for presentations, and a Logitech Presenter. Complete technical provisioning including cabling and accessories was included.
Back Office Equipment
In the back office area, we installed a NEC MultiSync M551 55” UHD monitor with wall mount, displaying the stage program in parallel with the LED wall. Additionally, we provided an HP Color LaserJet Pro 4302dw MFP production printer with network connectivity.
Network Infrastructure
For the smooth operation of all digital systems, we implemented a professional network infrastructure using Ubiquiti components. The Wi-Fi coverage extended across the entire booth area, enabling connectivity for all iPads, touchscreens, and streaming devices.
