Why Live Streaming Matters for Product Launches
When a leading camera manufacturer introduces a new flagship product, the expectations of its professional audience are sky-high. The reveal needed to feel like a live event — creating shared anticipation and real-time community engagement — while delivering the production quality of a carefully crafted film. Streaming a pre-produced video as a live premiere on YouTube gave ARRI the best of both worlds: the algorithmic reach boost and audience interaction of a live event, combined with the visual perfection of a polished product film.
Our Role in the Launch
Jakobs Medien managed the entire streaming operation from our studio in Berlin. We ingested the finished product film, set up the live broadcast infrastructure, and monitored every second of the stream from start to finish. A redundant failover system ensured that if any part of the primary stream encountered issues, a backup would take over instantly — invisible to the viewer. The start time was coordinated to the second with ARRI’s global marketing team, so audiences worldwide experienced the reveal simultaneously.

The premiere reached a large, highly engaged audience on YouTube, generating significant buzz across the filmmaking community.
