Twelve hours of live floral styling streamed on Instagram

Across nearly 7,000 square meters, Germany’s most creative floral designers battled it out at Berlin’s Haubentaucher in a 12-hour competition for the championship title. Our units kept the LED display walls buzzing with branded video content, while mobile LiveU cameras ensured the Fleurop community didn’t miss a single second of the event via Instagram livestream.

A Championship That Demanded Agility

The German Florist Championship is a fast-paced, visually stunning competition where the action is spread across a massive venue. Competitors work at individual stations, judges move between them, and the audience is constantly shifting its attention. Capturing this dynamic environment for a live audience required a production approach that was just as mobile and adaptable as the event itself. Jakobs Medien deployed wireless camera operators who could follow the action wherever it unfolded, providing the Instagram livestream with varied angles and spontaneous close-ups throughout the entire twelve hours.

Our Role On-Site

Beyond the livestream, we managed the venue’s LED display walls, feeding them with a continuous loop of branded video content, live camera feeds, and real-time competition updates. This kept the on-site audience informed and entertained during every phase of the championship. Our team coordinated closely with the Fleurop event management to synchronize the visual program with the competition schedule, award announcements, and sponsor activations.

Reaching the Community

The Instagram livestream turned a niche industry event into a shared experience for Fleurop’s entire community. Florists, flower enthusiasts, and customers from across the country tuned in to watch the competition unfold in real time. The combination of professional mobile camera work and reliable streaming infrastructure ensured a broadcast quality that stood out on social media — proving that even unconventional event formats can deliver compelling live content.
