For the Federal Award “Blauer Kompass” (Blue Compass) 2024, Jakobs Medien handled the film production and technical support for the official award ceremony at the Federal Ministry for the Environment in Berlin. Federal Environment Minister Steffi Lemke and UBA President Prof. Dr. Dirk Messner honoured five outstanding climate adaptation projects – in front of a live audience and captured by our camera team.
About the Blue Compass Federal Award
The Federal Award “Blauer Kompass” is Germany’s highest state honour for projects addressing climate change adaptation and preparedness. The 2024 ceremony took place on September 19 as part of the “Week of Climate Adaptation” and received a record 301 applications. The five winners each received 25,000 euros in prize money for their projects in the areas of heavy rain preparedness, disaster protection, heat resilience and flood protection.
Scope of Services
The event in the atrium of the Federal Environment Ministry was recorded using a professional multi-camera setup. Our team managed the complete film production including lighting, sound and video technology. Post-production delivered a highlight film documenting the award ceremony, the recognised projects and the atmosphere of the event.
Technology Deployed
Professional camera systems for multi-camera recording, stage and event lighting, PA sound system, wireless microphones for presenters and award recipients, and vision mixing for recording. Post-production included editing, colour grading and audio mixing for the highlight film.
